I believe this was the shell of a herring gull. Judging by the state of the inside, I’d say eaten.

A pretty thing, isn’t it? Apparently they come in a range of colours.

I swear I’m not making this up. This guy stepped into a crosswalk and then stood there. And stood there. I stopped my car to wait for him. He looked up from his texting with the most baffled expression—clearly he didn’t have a clue why I’d stopped.
