Back to fungus

yellow fungus

I’ve no idea what this is, but it’s small. When I get home I’ll dig out my field guides and see if I can figure out what it is—meanwhile, if you have any ideas, please let me know! It seemed almost to be infesting this bush, bubbling all around the old branches.

    1. It’s the right colour, but it had more defined forms than a slime mold. It had little cup-like structures—it’s hard to see that in the photo, though.

      I did some digging and I think it might be Candelariella vitellina. I found decent pictures of that species here and here. here and here
