One of the things we did while “on holiday” was visit the BC Forest Discovery Centre in Duncan. This 100-acre property houses over 5000 artifacts from BC’s forestry industry, ranging from the very small to the very, very large. It’s well worth a visit if you’re interested in history.
One thing it contains is a series of old buildings (actually used on logging sites) set up with displays appropriate to their content—bunkhouses, surveyor’s office, cookhouse, etc. These are from the post office. I wish my postbox still looked like this!
