“Make no mistake, this was a terrorist attack.” To Muslims: “Know that we value you. You enrich our shared country in immeasurable ways. It is your home. Last night’s horrible crime against the Muslim community was an act of terror committed against Canada and against all Canadians. We will grieve with you. We will defend you. We will love you. And we will stand with you.”
In the days to come, standing together will be more and more important.
“This is another senseless act of violence that cannot be tolerated,” White House spokesman Sean Spicer said Monday. “It’s a terrible reminder of why we must remain vigilant and why the president is taking steps to be proactive rather than reactive when it comes to our nation’s safety and security.”
Gee. A whole lot of specious justification for a ban on Muslims that somehow fails to note that this was a HOME-GROWN white supremacist and anti-feminist that massacred Muslims.
